Become a Private Pilot

Private Pilot Program

The Private Pilot License ( PPL ) gives you the opportunity to fly with friends and family exploring all that Florida and the country has to offer. You will be thoroughly training in all safety aspects and graduate a compete and knowledgeable pilot. This is the doorway to a career in aviation or a personal achievement like no other.

Min cost is 40hrs @ $200/plane and instructor is $10000.

 

FAA (Minimum) Requirements

- Be at least 17 years of age.

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate.

- Receive a minimum of 40 hours of flight time including dual training and 10 hrs solo flight.

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.

Instrumental Pilot Program

You will be taught how to fly in lower visibility weather with reference only to the aircraft instruments increasing your confidence when flying both day and night. When completed you will be able to fly approaches to airports in reduced visibility which increases your flight skills and lowers your insurance premiums.

Min cost is 40hrs @ $230/plane and instructor is $9400.

 

FAA (Minimum) Requirements

- Hold at least a Private Pilot License ( PPL ).

 

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate.

 

- 50 hours Cross Country PIC.

 

- Receive a minimum of 40 flight hours under instrument flight rules(IFR).

 

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.

Become a Commercial Pilot

Halcon offers flight training programs for the following certificates and ratings

Commercial Pilot Program

With the Commercial Pilot License ( CPL ) you will be allowed to get a paid job as a pilot. This license is the start of a professional pilot career and lowers your insurance premiums.

Min cost is 10hrs @ $240/plane and instructor is $2560.

 

FAA (Minimun) Requirements

- 18 years of age.

 

- Hold at least a Private Pilot License ( PPL ).

 

- Instrument Rating ( IR ) is recommended.

 

- 250 hours, 100 PIC, 50 X-C, 10 instrument complex aircraft.

 

- Be able to obtain at least a current second-class medical certificate.

 

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.

 

Multi-Engine Program

Pilots on the career path must have at least 100 hours of multi engine time for airline or corporate flying positions. This rating introduces the world of high performance and high altitude flying. It permits flying  over open waters with added safety also lowering insurance premiums.

 

FAA (Minimum) Requirements

- Hold at least Private Pilot License.

 

- Have an endorsement from CFI (Certified Flight Instructor).

 

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate.

 

- 250 hours, 100 PIC, 50 X-C, 10 instrument, 10 multi aircraft.

 

- Pass the practical test.

Certified Flight Instructor ( CFI-A )

 

Flight Instructor is the PHD of the aviation teaching business. Hours are tailored to the pilot's needs and experience. It is an great responsibility and brings enormous satisfaction.

 

FAA ( Minimun ) Requirements

- Be at least 18 years of age.

 

- Hold a commercial pilot certificate.

 

- Hold an instrument rating.

 

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.

 

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate.

 

- Have logged at least 250 hours and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations.

 

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.

 

 

 

 

 

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, Multi-Engine Instructor,    Restricted        ATP                    
( CFII, MEI,
)

Advanced training to be an instrument, mulit-engine instructor, and Airline Transport Pilot in airplanes is offered. Training, aircraft, and hours are tailored to the candidate.

 

FAA ( Minimun ) Requirements

- Be at least 18 years of age.

 

- Hold a commercial pilot certificate.

 

- Hold an instrument rating.

 

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.

 

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate.
